Interestingly, I am half American and half Nigerian. My full name is Oluwadarebomi Fadahunsi, but my nickname is Dare. You will easily notice traits of confidence, intelligence, and freedom in me either when you read, hear, or meet me in person.

I am from Ondo State in the southwestern region of Nigeria. Yoruba is the major language in this region.
On my American side, I was born in the city of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The southwestern Yoruba people are known for kindness, hospitality, respect, resilience, and fun-loving nature, all of which have positively shaped who I am.
Americans are known for confidence, intelligence, and freedom—traits I also strongly exhibit.
I have lived in Nigeria, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and each culture has influenced my worldview.
My multicultural background has helped me understand people better and view the world with openness. I value companionship, support, resilience, and unity.
Growing up with my parents’ guidance, I learned to “never leave your brother or sister behind,” which influences how I treat people around me.
I am from a family of five. I have two siblings and I am the middle child, with an older sister and a younger brother that I love endlessly. My dad is a 2-star General in the Nigerian Navy, and my mom is an entrepreneur. My older sister attends the University of Berkeley, and my younger brother goes to Port Regis School.
I spent part of my early years in Nigeria and completed my primary education at Spring Hall British School.
I moved to the United Kingdom for my secondary education, where I experienced culture shock due to conservative lifestyles and weather differences.
Over time, I adjusted and even became a guide for international students who could not speak English.
I love Afrobeat and hip-hop, and my favorite artists are Wizkid and Gunna. I attend concerts and events like Rema and Ayra Starr concerts and go to Arsenal matches frequently.
I enjoy playing sports such as golf, polo, and football—football being my favorite.
I’m a huge Arsenal fan.
My favorite video game is NBA2K26.
Living in multiple countries (Nigeria, the U.S., and the U.K.) exposed me to diverse cultures.
In the U.K., I helped students from Asia, Eastern Europe, and other regions adapt to school life, which helped me make new friends.
I met my best friend Sushiro from Japan–originally from South Korea–who shared stories, treats, and books that taught me more about Asian cultures.
I also met Alviero, who only spoke Spanish. Despite the language barrier, our shared passion for soccer connected us.
I successfully adapted to life in three different countries and played a major role in helping international students integrate into the U.K. school environment.
I have also visited many countries, including the UK, America, UAE, France, Italy, the Netherlands, The Bahamas, and more, which broadened my global exposure.
My dream is to either become a professional football player or an entrepreneur.
Inspired by my mom’s entrepreneurial success, I aspire to build something of my own.
I am also a Pentecostal Christian, which shapes my values and ambitions.
